As a young girl growing up in Tema, the Harbour city of Ghana, I saw a few mind boggling circumstances which made an indelible impression on me. That was when the dream was birthed and I vowed to set up an NGO and a foundation to support young girls who were underprivileged.
In 1999 I left the shores of Ghana to further my education in the United Kingdom and I realized that the plight of young women cuts across the globe and the burden increased.
In 2008 I returned to Ghana, got married and eventually joined my husband in the United States of America. In the United States, I aligned with the concept of having shelters for the homeless and decided to build a sanctuary to house young women, train them to become self-sufficient so they can also empower other young women to do same.
I returned to Ghana in 2018 with a burning desire and a passion which led to the birth of HOPE PRIDE GHANA in January 2020 and officially registered on March 12, 2020.
